Miles Overview
The Frontier is Nissan's mid-size pickup, competing with the Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger. It drives with a sturdy feel and plenty of power, though the turning radius is wide and the ride can be a bit choppy on rough roads. The cabin is roomy up front, but the rear seat is tight, especially in the King Cab, and some interior plastics feel cheap. Owners report the Frontier as durable and long-lasting, with only minor issues like squeaky clutches and rattling heat shields. The XE is the base Frontier, the one to pick if you want a simple, affordable truck and don't need the V6's extra power that the SE offers. Its 2.5L I4 makes 154 horsepower, which is adequate for daily driving but feels strained when the bed is loaded, and the five-speed automatic shifts smoothly.
