Miles Overview
The Frontier is Nissan's compact pickup, a straightforward workhorse that's been around for years and still does the job. It's a truck that feels honest and capable, with a ride that's on the firm side but handles rough roads without complaint. Inside, the cabin is basic but functional, and the rear seat is tight for adults, though fine for kids or cargo. The bed is a real workhorse, and with a full-size spare underneath, you're ready for a flat on the trail. The Desert Runner is the two-wheel-drive Frontier with the V6, so you get the power without the extra weight of a front axle. Its 4.0L V6 makes 261 horsepower, and with two-wheel drive it feels lighter on its feet than the 4x4 models. This trim comes with a locking rear differential, so it's surprisingly capable on loose surfaces even without four-wheel drive.
