Miles Overview
The 2005 Frontier is Nissan's compact pickup, a smaller sibling to the Titan that still hauls a full bed load without complaint. The cabin is roomy up front with comfortable seats, though the rear seat in the two-door is tight for adults. Owners mention a squeaky clutch, a rattling heat shield, and a lousy turning radius as the main annoyances. The SE adds a 4.0L I6 over the XE's base engine, along with nicer cloth upholstery and standard air conditioning. Its 4.0L I6 makes 265 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that gets 16 mpg combined. With four doors and a full-size bed, this Frontier hauls four people and a sheet of plywood without breaking a sweat.
