Miles Overview
The 2019 Altima is Nissan's midsize sedan, offered in six trims from the S to the Platinum, with front- or all-wheel drive. It squares off against the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Mazda6 in the family-sedan segment. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder delivers adequate acceleration, but the Altima's real strength is its composed, predictable handling. Inside, the Altima features the brand's famously comfortable zero-gravity seats and a roomy rear seat that easily fits adults. Available tech includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Nissan's Safety Shield 360 suite of driver aids. The Platinum is the top Altima trim, so you get the full suite of luxury touches that the more affordable SV and SL trims leave out. Its 2.5L pairs with a automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, giving you confident traction in rain or snow without a big fuel-economy penalty. Only the Platinum offers the available navigation system with a larger screen, which is handy if you prefer built-in maps over phone mirroring.
