Miles Overview
The 2019 Altima is Nissan's midsize sedan, offered in six trims from the S to the Platinum, with front- or all-wheel drive. It squares off against the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Mazda6 in the family-sedan segment. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder delivers adequate acceleration, but the Altima's real strength is its composed, predictable handling. Inside, the Altima features the brand's famously comfortable zero-gravity seats and a roomy rear seat that easily fits adults. Available tech includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Nissan's Safety Shield 360 suite of driver aids. The SL adds leather upholstery, a moonroof, and navigation over the SV, making it the comfort-focused choice before the Platinum. Its 2.5L I4 makes 188 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, which gives you confident traction in rain or light snow. The SL's standard heated front seats and steering wheel are a real bonus on cold mornings, and the Bose premium audio is a worthwhile upgrade.
