Miles Overview
The 2022 Altima is Nissan's midsize sedan, slotting between the compact Sentra and the full-size Maxima in the brand's car lineup. It goes up against the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Hyundai Sonata in the fiercely competitive midsize sedan class. The Altima handles competently with responsive steering, though the continuously variable transmission dulls the driving experience compared to rivals with traditional automatics. Inside, the Altima offers comfortable, supportive seats and a straightforward dashboard, but some competitors use richer cabin materials. The SV adds the SV Convenience Package over the SR, with features like remote start and dual-zone climate control.
