Miles Overview
The 2021 Altima is Nissan's mid-size sedan, slotting between the smaller Sentra and the larger Maxima. It competes with the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Hyundai Sonata in a crowded segment. The Altima handles with a composed, planted feel that makes daily driving pleasant, though the continuously variable transmission can be a bit droning under hard acceleration. Inside, the cabin is roomy and comfortable, with supportive seats and a straightforward layout that puts controls within easy reach. The SR is the sporty one in the Altima lineup, with a firmer suspension and paddle shifters that the SV and SL don't get. Its 2.5L I4 makes 182 horsepower and routes power through a CVT to all-wheel drive, which helps the sedan feel planted in rain or snow. Expect a stiffer ride than the SV or SL, but the trade-off is sharper turn-in and more steering feel through corners.
