2020 Nissan Altima SR

The 2020 Altima is Nissan's mid-size sedan, offered with front- or all-wheel drive and a choice of trims from the base S to the loaded Platinum. The Altima's steering is light and its ride is smooth, though the continuously variable transmission can make it feel less engaging than rivals with traditional automatics. The cabin is roomy for a sedan, with comfortable seats that owners say reduce fatigue on long drives. Standard tech includes a rearview camera and available Nissan Safety Shield 360 with automatic emergency braking and blind-spot warning. Owners report the Altima holds up well with few maintenance issues, though some have noted the CVT's behavior and occasional quality niggles. Its 2.5L I4 pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, which delivers smooth acceleration and good fuel economy but not the crisp response of a traditional automatic. The SR's standard LED headlights, dark chrome grille, and black mirror caps give it a sharper look than other Altimas, and the sport seats hold you in place during cornering.
