Miles Overview
The 2021 Altima is Nissan's mid-size sedan, slotting between the smaller Sentra and the larger Maxima. It competes with the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Hyundai Sonata in a crowded segment. The Altima handles with a composed, planted feel that makes daily driving pleasant, though the continuously variable transmission can be a bit droning under hard acceleration. Inside, the cabin is roomy and comfortable, with supportive seats and a straightforward layout that puts controls within easy reach. The SR adds sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch wheels, and paddle shifters over the SV, giving it a sharper feel without going full boy-racer. Its 2.0L automatic transmission pairs with front-wheel drive and returns 29 mpg combined, which is competitive for a sedan with this much road presence. The SR's sport-tuned suspension firms up the ride noticeably, so expect more cornering grip and a bit more road noise than the SV or SL.
