Miles Overview
The 2021 Maxima is Nissan's full-size sedan, the one that sits above the Altima and aims for a sportier feel than the typical family car. The Maxima feels planted and grips well through corners, but the steering is a little numb and it's front-drive only, so you won't get the tail-out fun of a rear-drive rival. Inside, the cabin is upscale for the segment, with comfortable seats and a straightforward layout, though rear seat space is a bit tight for a car this size. Standard heated front seats and an 8-inch touchscreen set the SV apart from the base S trim below it. The 3.5L I6 makes 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque, routed through a automatic transmission to front-wheel drive, which means smooth power delivery but no all-weather traction advantage.
