Miles Overview
The Maxima is Nissan's flagship sedan, a front-drive four-door that aims to feel sportier than the typical family hauler. The cabin is cozy and the seats are famously comfortable, but front-seat legroom can feel tight for taller drivers. Owners report few mechanical issues, with most complaints centering on the transmission's character rather than breakdowns. The Platinum is the range-topping Maxima, adding leather, premium audio, and extra sound insulation over the sportier SR and the mid-range SL and SV. Standard heated and cooled front seats and a heated steering wheel make the Platinum the one to pick if you want the Maxima at its most luxurious.
