Miles Overview
The Maxima is Nissan's large front-wheel-drive sedan, the one that competes with the Toyota Avalon and Buick LaCrosse. It's genuinely quick for a big sedan, and owners say it grips well in corners, though the steering feels a bit detached. The cabin is roomy for four adults, with supportive seats and a big trunk, but the front footwell feels tight for taller drivers. Owners report few mechanical issues, though the continuously variable transmission takes some getting used to. Stepping up to the SV from the base S adds niceties like heated front seats, a power driver's seat, and a larger infotainment screen. The SV can be fitted with the Premium Package, which adds a sunroof, leather upholstery, and a Bose audio system.
