Miles Overview
The Maxima is Nissan's full-size sedan, the one that sits above the Altima and aims for a more upscale feel. It's genuinely quick for a family sedan, and the sport-tuned suspension keeps it planted through corners. The interior is a highlight, with comfortable seats and a roomy cabin that fits four easily. Some owners mention the front seats feel a bit snug, and the car needs premium fuel. Stepping up to the SL from the SV brings leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, and a higher-grade Bose audio system. Its 3.5L V6 uses a continuously variable transmission to keep the engine in the sweet spot, returning 25 mpg combined. The SL can be ordered with the Premium Package, adding a moonroof and Nissan's navigation system with traffic.
