Miles Overview
The 1997 Town Car is Lincoln's full-size flagship sedan, the traditional American luxo-barge with a trunk the size of a small room. The ride is pillow-soft over bumps, but you'll feel a bit of body roll in corners, which is the trade for that old-school comfort. Inside, the cabin is vast and plush, with bench seats that swallow three adults and enough legroom to stretch out. The Executive is the base Town Car, and what you give up compared to the Signature and Cartier is mostly interior trim and power seat adjustments. Under the hood is a 4.6L V8 making 190 horsepower, paired with a automatic transmission driving the rear-wheel drive, which moves this big sedan with a relaxed, unhurried feel.
