Miles Overview
The Scrambler is Jeep's open-top pickup version of the CJ-7, built for off-road work and weekend fun. The cabin is basic and tight, with a small rear seat that folds for cargo, and the removable top lets you go topless. Rust is the big enemy here, so check the frame and floor pans before you buy. The Scrambler Base is the no-frills pickup version of the CJ-7, giving you an open bed for hauling gear without the extra weight or cost of the longer-wheelbase models. Its 2.5L I4 and manual transmission are simple and tough, with four-wheel drive that lets you crawl over rocks or through mud without breaking a sweat. The removable hardtop and fold-down windshield are standard here, so you can enjoy open-air driving or seal it up for weather protection.
