Miles Overview
The 2008 Grand Cherokee is Jeep's mid-size SUV, the one that splits the difference between the compact Liberty and the three-row Commander. On pavement it feels planted and confident, with a ride that's more settled than you'd expect from a body-on-frame truck. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and roomy up front, though rear legroom is tighter than some rivals. Cargo space is decent for the class, and the tailgate opens wide for easy loading of gear. Dropping from the Overland to the Limited saves money while keeping the same four-wheel drive and a capable V8, giving up some luxury trim details. Its 4.7L V8 and automatic transmission provide solid towing capability, though you'll see 14 mpg city in town. With the Quadra-Drive II system, this Limited gets a electronic limited-slip rear diff that improves traction when the pavement ends.
