Miles Overview
The Grand Cherokee is Jeep's midsize SUV, the one that blends everyday comfort with serious off-road capability. On the road it feels solid and planted, with a ride that's comfortable for long trips, though it leans a bit in corners. Inside, you get a roomy cabin with straightforward controls and a cargo area that's practical for family duty. Running costs are typical for a body-on-frame SUV, so plan for regular maintenance and fuel stops. The Laredo is the well-equipped starting point for the Grand Cherokee lineup, giving you a capable four-wheel-drive system and the option of a V8 without stepping up to the leather-lined Limited. With the 4.7L V8 and automatic transmission, this Laredo pulls strongly on the highway and handles dirt roads with confidence, though you'll see 15 mpg combined around town.
