Miles Overview
The Commander is Jeep's seven-passenger SUV, a boxy alternative to the Grand Cherokee for families who need three rows. It feels stable and planted on the highway, though the ride is on the firm side and gets noisy at speed. The cabin is roomy up front, but the third row is tight and hard to reach, and the second-row seats sit upright. Some owners report transmission issues and electrical gremlins, like the shifter losing connection, so a thorough check is wise. The Limited trim adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a power driver seat over the Base model, plus standard automatic climate control and a six-speaker sound system.
