Miles Overview
The 2006 Wrangler is Jeep's classic off-roader, the one you see with the top down on trails and around town. It's a blast to drive off-road, with solid axles and a low-range transfer case that let you crawl over rocks and through mud. On the highway, expect a bouncy ride and plenty of wind noise, especially with the soft top, but that's part of the Wrangler's character. Inside, it's basic and functional, with a simple dashboard and seats that are easy to hose out after a muddy trail run. The Unlimited adds a longer wheelbase for more stable highway cruising and more cargo space than a standard Wrangler, while still keeping the same rugged four-wheel-drive hardware and removable top. The standard 4.0L I6 has plenty of low-end grunt off the line and pairs with a six-speed manual or four-speed automatic; it's not fast, but it pulls hard when you need it.
