Miles Overview
The 2006 Wrangler is Jeep's classic off-roader, the one you see with the top down on trails and around town. It's a blast to drive off-road, with solid axles and a low-range transfer case that let you crawl over rocks and through mud. On the highway, expect a bouncy ride and plenty of wind noise, especially with the soft top, but that's part of the Wrangler's character. Inside, it's basic and functional, with a simple dashboard and seats that are easy to hose out after a muddy trail run. The base 2.4L four-cylinder and six-speed manual set the SE apart from the more powerful X and Sport trims above it. With 147 horsepower from the 2.4L I4, it's the slowest Wrangler of the year, but the four-wheel drive and low-range gearing still let you tackle serious trails.
