Miles Overview
The Escalade ESV is Cadillac's long-wheelbase full-size SUV, the stretched version of the Escalade with extra cargo room behind the third row. It drives like a big, heavy luxury SUV, with a smooth ride and a commanding view of the road, though you'll feel its size in tight spots. Inside, the cabin is plush with leather and wood, and the ESV's extra length gives you real space for seven or eight passengers and their gear. Standard tech includes a large touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a rear camera mirror that helps when the back is full. Semi-aniline leather, a suede headliner, and power-retracting assist steps set the Platinum apart from the Premium Luxury below it. The 6.2L V8 makes 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, routed through a ten-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that returns 17 mpg combined. Only the Platinum offers the available Magnetic Ride Control, which firms up the suspension on the fly for better body control.
