Miles Overview
The 2024 XT4 is Cadillac's smallest SUV, a compact luxury crossover that slots below the XT5 and aims at the BMW X1 and Audi Q3. The XT4 feels eager around town, with a responsive turbo engine and light steering that make it easy to place in tight spaces. The ride is on the firm side, which helps cornering but lets some road imperfections into the cabin; the trade-off is typical for the class. Inside, the XT4 offers a clean dash with a standard 8-inch touchscreen, and rear seats that fold flat for extra cargo room. The entry-level Luxury trim keeps the essentials and skips the extra kit of the Premium Luxury and Sport, so it's the pick if you want the XT4's core appeal without the upcharge. With 2.0L I4 making 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, the Luxury gets you the same punchy acceleration as pricier trims, and the nine-speed automatic shifts smoothly; all-wheel drive helps in slippery weather, and it returns 25 mpg combined. This Luxury trim rides on 18-inch wheels and has a simpler suspension tune, so expect a touch more body roll than the Sport's firmer setup, but it's a bit more forgiving over rough pavement.
