Miles Overview
The Savana is GMC's full-size van, the workhorse choice for hauling cargo or people, offered in both regular and extended lengths. It drives like the big van it is, with a tall seating position and a firm ride that's more about hauling than comfort. Inside, the cabin is basic and functional, with hard plastics and simple controls, but there's plenty of room up front. Cargo space is the Savana's reason to exist, with a huge, boxy rear area that swallows gear or can be fitted for passengers. The 3500 is the heavy-duty Savana, trading the 2500's lighter payload for a higher gross vehicle weight rating and a stronger frame. Its 4.8L I8 makes 285 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, which is enough for loaded work but returns 13 mpg combined.
