Miles Overview
The Savana is GMC's full-size van, a workhorse built for hauling people or cargo in a straightforward, no-frills package. It drives like a proper full-size van: a commanding view over traffic, a firm ride, and steering that's direct but not sporty. The cabin is utilitarian, with hard plastics and simple controls, but it's roomy and easy to clean, which is what a work van should be. You can get it as a cargo van, a passenger van, or a cutaway chassis for upfitting, so it adapts to almost any job. Heavier-duty suspension and a higher GVWR set the 2500 apart from the lighter-duty Savana trims, making it the choice for serious towing and payload. The 2.8L I4 and automatic transmission pair with rear-wheel drive to deliver the grunt you need for hauling, though the fuel economy reflects its work-truck priorities.
