Miles Overview
The 2017 Sierra 1500 is GMC's full-size pickup, slotting above the Canyon and below the heavy-duty Sierra HD. It squares off against the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The Sierra rides smoothly for a full-size truck, and its steering is more precise than you might expect. The cabin is roomy and quiet, with an available upscale interior in higher trims and a useful bed and towing package. A cloth 40/20/40 split bench and manual climate controls set the SLE apart from the leather-lined SLT and Denali trims above it. This SLE has the standard 5.3L I8 with 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, which is enough for daily driving but not the strongest V8 available.
