2026 GMC Canyon Denali

The Canyon is GMC's midsize pickup, slotting between the compact and full-size classes with a focus on premium comfort and off-road capability. It competes with the Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, and Chevrolet Colorado, but the Canyon leans more upscale with its Denali trim. The turbo four delivers strong low-end torque, making the Canyon feel quick around town and confident when towing. The ride is composed on pavement, though the off-road-oriented AT4X trades some comfort for its rugged suspension. Inside, the Canyon offers a modern cabin with an available large touchscreen and upscale materials in higher trims. The Denali is the premium Canyon, adding a nicer interior, a head-up display, and ventilated front seats over the AT4. Its 2.7L I4 makes 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, paired with the eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that give it a strong pull when towing. The Denali's 20-inch wheels and off-road suspension with a 2-inch lift mean it rides a bit firmer than the Elevation, but it handles rough trails well.
