Miles Overview
The 2018 Sierra 1500 is GMC's full-size pickup, offered in Base, SLE, SLT, and Denali trims with a focus on upscale comfort and capability. It competes head-to-head with the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Chevrolet Silverado, standing out with a more premium cabin and available Denali luxury. The Sierra rides with a composed, truck-like feel, and the steering is accurate for a full-size pickup, though the ride can be firm when unloaded. Inside, the cabin is roomy and quiet, with high-quality materials in upper trims and a user-friendly infotainment system with available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The crew cab offers generous rear-seat space and a versatile bed, with available features like a tailgate step and cargo management system. The Base trim skips the SLE's extra convenience features to keep the price down, making it the no-frills work truck of the lineup. It comes with a 5.3L I8 and rear-wheel drive, giving you solid V8 power for daily driving and light hauling without the complexity of four-wheel drive.
