Miles Overview
The Canyon is GMC's mid-size pickup, a step smaller and more maneuverable than a full-size Sierra while still offering real truck capability. It drives more like a car than a truck, with steering and handling that feel light and responsive, though the ride can get choppy on rough pavement. Inside, the cabin is roomy and comfortable, with supportive seats and plenty of legroom for front and rear passengers. Tech highlights include an available rearview camera and a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, though Android users miss out on phone projection. The SLE is the volume trim, blending the Work Truck's utility with the SLT's comfort touches, and it's the trim where you can get the diesel four-cylinder. The 2.8L I4 pairs with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, and it's the torquey diesel that makes this Canyon feel effortless on the highway while returning 25 mpg combined.
