Miles Overview
The Sierra 3500HD is GMC's heavy-duty workhorse, built for serious towing and payload duty in a full-size truck package. It drives with the commanding presence you expect from a heavy-duty truck, and the steering feels direct for something this size. Expect a firm, truck-like ride when unladen, which is the trade-off for the stability you get when hauling heavy loads. The cabin is straightforward and functional, with durable materials that hold up to daily work use. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a premium audio system set the SLT apart from the Work Truck and Denali trims below and above it. The 6.6L V8 paired with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive gives this SLT the grunt to pull heavy trailers with confidence, though you'll feel the firm ride when the bed is empty. The SLT's available rearview camera and parking sensors make hitching up a trailer noticeably easier than in lower trims.
