Miles Overview
The 2024 Sierra 3500HD is GMC's heaviest-duty pickup, built for serious towing and payload work with a choice of regular, double, or crew cabs. It squares off against the Ford F-350 Super Duty and Ram 3500, with the Denali trims aiming for a more premium work-truck experience. Despite its size, the 3500HD steers with more precision than you'd expect, and the diesel's low-end grunt makes merging with a heavy trailer feel effortless. Cabin quality ranges from work-truck basic in the Pro to genuinely luxurious in the Denali Ultimate, with the latter adding real wood and full-grain leather. The Pro is the work-truck trim, the one you pick if you need a bare-bones 3500HD and plan to add your own accessories rather than paying for the SLT's extra comfort. Under the hood is the gas 6.6L V8 paired with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, a combo that puts out enough torque for heavy hauling without the diesel premium.
