Miles Overview
The Sierra 2500HD is GMC's heavy-duty pickup, built for serious towing and hauling work beyond what a half-ton can handle. It drives with the authority you expect from a heavy-duty truck, though the ride is firm and the steering is a bit vague on the highway. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and functional, with durable materials and plenty of room in the crew cab for passengers. With a strong frame and a high towing capacity, this truck is ready for trailers, campers, and work-site loads without breaking a sweat. Bare-bones utility and a lower price distinguish the Work Truck from the plusher SLE and SLT trims above it. A 6.6L V8 and automatic transmission give this rear-wheel-drive Work Truck the torque you need for heavy hauling, though fuel economy is not a strength.
