2022 Chevrolet Suburban Premier

The 2022 Suburban is Chevrolet's full-size SUV, a three-row hauler that seats up to nine and competes with the Ford Expedition and Jeep Wagoneer. The big Suburban drives with surprising composure for its size, and the available Magnetic Ride Control keeps body motions in check on winding roads. Ride comfort is generally plush, though the independent rear suspension can transmit sharp impacts into the cabin over broken pavement. Chevy Safety Assist is standard, adding automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist, while a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes on most trims. Leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a power-folding third row set the Premier apart from the RST and Z71 trims below it. The 5.3L V8 makes 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, routed through a ten-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, which gives it confident passing power on the highway. Magnetic Ride Control is optional on the Premier and does a good job smoothing out rough pavement without making the body feel floaty.
