The 2018 Tahoe is Chevrolet's full-size SUV, a roomy three-row family hauler that also tows and tackles snow. It squares off against the Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia, with a more modern interior than the aging Sequoia. The V8 gives the Tahoe strong acceleration for its size, and the ride stays composed on the highway. Inside, the cabin is plush with comfortable leather seats and a fold-flat third row, though cargo space trails some rivals. The LT adds heated front seats, a power liftgate, and the Bose premium audio system over the LS, but skips the Premier's luxury touches like ventilated seats. Its 5.3L V8 makes 355 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, giving it confident passing power and a 8,400-pound max tow rating with the optional Max Trailering Package. The LT comes standard with the Premium Smooth Ride suspension, so the highway ride is more relaxed than the Z71's off-road-tuned setup.
