Miles Overview
The Traverse is Chevrolet's three-row family SUV, the one you cross-shop with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. It drives more like a car than a big SUV, with a smooth ride and steering that feels light and easy around town. The cabin is genuinely roomy, with three rows that fold flat for cargo and a middle row that fits three kids comfortably. Some owners mention the alternator failing more than once, so it's worth checking the charging system on a used example. The LTZ adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a premium sound system over the LT. Its 3.6L V6 makes 288 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, returning 19 mpg combined.
