Miles Overview
The Tahoe is Chevrolet's full-size SUV, the one families cross-shop with the Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia when they need room for seven. It drives big but smooth, with a commanding view of the road and a ride that soaks up highway miles without much fuss. The cabin is roomy and comfortable, and the optional third row folds flat to open up serious cargo space for hauling gear. Owners of this generation mention door lock actuators failing and some electrical gremlins, though the engine itself tends to hold up well. Heated leather seats, a premium Bose stereo, and 20-inch wheels set the LTZ apart as the range-topping Tahoe trim. Its 5.3L V8 makes 320 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque, handled by a four-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that gives it sure-footed traction in snow or mud.
