Miles Overview
The 2022 Traverse is Chevrolet's three-row family SUV, slotting above the Equinox and competing with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. The Traverse drives lighter than its size suggests, with easy steering and a composed ride that makes it feel smaller in the city and on the highway. Inside, the Traverse offers generous space for up to eight, with a cavernous cargo area behind the third row and thoughtful storage throughout. Chevy Safety Assist is standard, bringing automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist, while the infotainment system responds quickly and supports wireless Apple CarPlay. Reliability reports are mixed, with some owners praising the handling and space but a few citing transmission issues on early examples. The LT is the trim most families pick for its balance of standard features and value, stepping up from the base LS without the RS's sporty look. Its 3.6L V6 pairs with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, giving you confident traction in rain or snow and enough power for highway merging. The LT can be optioned with a power liftgate and heated front seats, two upgrades that make daily life with a family SUV noticeably easier.
