Miles Overview
The Tahoe is Chevrolet's full-size SUV, the one families cross-shop with the Expedition and Yukon. It rides smooth and quiet on the highway, with a commanding view of the road that makes long trips easy. With the optional third row, it seats up to seven, and the rear seats fold or come out to open up a big cargo area. Owners mention the service engine light often comes on for a loose fuel cap, and some see leather seat cracking over time. The Z71 is the off-road-oriented Tahoe, with a stiffer suspension and skid plates that the LT doesn't get, making it the one to pick if you actually leave pavement. Its 5.3L V8 makes 285 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, routed through a four-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, which is enough to tow a boat or trailer without breaking a sweat.
