Miles Overview
The Blazer is Chevy's compact SUV, a two-door or four-door that slots below the Tahoe and competes with the Ford Explorer and Jeep Cherokee. It's a truck-based SUV, so it rides like one, but that chassis gives it real capability off the pavement and a commanding view of the road. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and durable, with plenty of room up front and a rear seat that folds flat to expand the cargo area. Owners mention the fuel pump and 4WD actuator as common trouble spots, and the plastic trim and door hinges tend to wear with age. The LS adds air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, and cruise control over the base model, making it the popular choice for everyday use. Under the hood is the 4.3L V6 pushing out 190 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive that gets 16 mpg combined.
