The real reason to pick the XL over the regular Yukon is the extra space behind the third row, which swallows luggage for a full family trip. The SLT is the middle trim that adds leather seats and a few more comfort touches over the SLE, while skipping the Denali's extra power and luxury. Its 5.3L V8 makes 355 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, giving you confident highway passing and a 8,400-pound towing capacity. Expect the SLT's ride to be comfortable on pavement, but the big body and live-axle rear end mean it's not as planted on rough roads as a Denali with its magnetic dampers.
