2018 GMC Yukon XL SLT

The Yukon XL is GMC's full-size SUV, the long-wheelbase version of the Yukon that trades some maneuverability for a much bigger cargo bay. If you're also looking at a Chevrolet Suburban or a Ford Expedition Max, this is the one with the plusher interior and the GMC badge. It drives like a big truck, which is exactly what it is, but the steering is light enough that you don't feel every inch of its length. The cabin is roomy for eight, and the third row is genuinely usable for adults, which is rare in this class. Stepping up to the SLT from the SLE adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a larger infotainment screen, making it the value sweet spot for buyers who want luxury without the Denali price.
