Miles Overview
The Savana is GMC's full-size van, the one you see hauling crews and cargo on job sites. It drives like a big work van, with a commanding view and a ride that's more about stability than sport. With a tall roof and flat floor, the Savana swallows tools and materials that would never fit in an SUV. The Savana's simple, proven mechanicals give it a solid reputation for dependable service in demanding roles. The 3500 is the heavy-duty Savana, built with a stronger frame and higher payload rating than the Work Van. Its standard 6.0L I8 and automatic transmission give it ample grunt for hauling heavy loads, though fuel economy is predictably low.
