Miles Overview
The 2019 Colorado is Chevrolet's mid-size pickup, slotting between the full-size Silverado and the smaller, discontinued S10. It competes with the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, and Nissan Frontier, offering a more car-like ride than most. The V6 makes the Colorado feel quick for a truck, and the ride is smooth enough that it doesn't drive like a traditional pickup. The cabin is notably quiet, and crew cab models offer generous rear legroom, though the bed is shorter. Owner reviews from recent years mention few serious issues, with occasional battery or door seal problems. The Z71 adds an off-road suspension package, automatic locking rear diff, and hill descent control over the LT, making it the pick for light trail duty without going full ZR2. With the 3.6L V6 and eight-speed automatic, this Colorado pulls strongly from a stop and the four-wheel drive gives you confidence on loose gravel or snow. The Z71's heated front seats and heated steering wheel are welcome on cold mornings, and the wireless charging pad keeps your phone topped up without a cable.
