Miles Overview
The 2016 Colorado is Chevrolet's midsize pickup, slotting below the Silverado and competing with the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. The Colorado drives more like a car than a truck, with composed handling and a smooth ride that makes daily commuting genuinely pleasant. The cabin is impressively quiet at highway speeds, and the available MyLink touchscreen with smartphone integration is easy to use. Some owners have reported air conditioning failures and radio glitches, though many others report trouble-free miles. The Work Truck is the base Colorado, so it skips the Z71's off-road bits and the LT's comfort touches, but it's the most affordable way into a 4WD midsize truck. Under the hood is a 2.5L I4 with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, which is plenty for everyday hauling but not the punch of the available V6. Expect a no-frills interior with vinyl floors and manual windows, which is fine if you want a work truck that's easy to clean and simple to maintain.
