Miles Overview
The 2016 Colorado is Chevrolet's midsize pickup, slotting below the Silverado and competing with the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. The Colorado drives more like a car than a truck, with composed handling and a smooth ride that makes daily commuting genuinely pleasant. The cabin is impressively quiet at highway speeds, and the available MyLink touchscreen with smartphone integration is easy to use. Some owners have reported air conditioning failures and radio glitches, though many others report trouble-free miles. The LT adds cruise control, a nicer cloth interior, and power accessories over the Work Truck, skipping the Z71's off-road hardware. Its 2.8L I4 diesel pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, giving it real truck torque for towing while returning 25 mpg combined. This LT can be ordered with a spray-in bedliner and the trailering package, both useful if you plan to use it as a truck.
