2006 Chevrolet SSR

The SSR is Chevrolet's retro-styled pickup, a two-seat roadster with a small truck bed that turns heads everywhere it goes. It drives like a muscle car, with a firm ride and quick steering that make it more fun on back roads than most trucks. Inside, the SSR is snug but comfortable, with leather seats and a straightforward dashboard that feels like a proper sports car. The retractable hardtop is the party trick, but the bed is small and the cabin is tight, so it's more about style than utility. A retractable hardtop and a Corvette-derived 6.0L I8 set the SSR apart from any other pickup on the road. The 6.0L I8 pairs with a four-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, giving it strong straight-line punch and a deep exhaust note. The SSR's retractable hardtop stows in the bed, so you lose a fair bit of cargo space when you want open-air driving.
