Miles Overview
The 2004 Colorado is Chevy's compact pickup, sized to fit in a garage and easy to maneuver around town. It rides smoothly for a truck and handles well unloaded, though the smaller bed and lower towing capacity limit its utility compared to a full-size. The cab offers decent space for four adults, but the rear jump seats are cramped and the interior feels basic even by mid-2000s standards. Owners report frequent electrical issues, including faulty brake lights, radio failures, and the truck shutting down while driving. The Z71 is the off-road package, distinguished from the base Z85 and the LS by its upgraded suspension and skid plates. This Z71's four-wheel drive and rugged suspension make it a capable choice for light trails, though the ride is noticeably stiffer on pavement.
