Miles Overview
The C/K 1500 is Chevrolet's full-size half-ton pickup, the truck that defined American work and play in 1990. It drives like a proper truck: a soft, floaty ride over bumps and a steering wheel with plenty of play, but it's unstoppable on dirt roads. Inside, the cabin is basic and roomy, with a bench seat that fits three adults and a simple dashboard that's easy to use. You can get it as a regular cab, extended cab, or crew cab, and the bed swallows plywood and tools without complaint. If you need traction in mud or snow, the four-wheel-drive model is the one to get; the two-wheel-drive version is lighter and cheaper, but this one goes anywhere. The 5.7L V8 and automatic transmission make for relaxed highway cruising and confident pulling, though you'll feel the weight of the four-wheel-drive hardware in the steering.
