1985 Chevrolet C/K 10 Series

The C/K 10 is Chevrolet's half-ton pickup, the workhorse that defined the American truck for decades. It drives like a proper truck: a bit floaty over bumps, but the steering is direct and it tracks straight on the highway. Inside, the cabin is basic but functional, with a bench seat that fits three and simple controls that are easy to use. These trucks are known for their durability, with many still on the road and parts that are easy to find and affordable. The C/K 10 is the base half-ton, sitting below the heavier-duty C/K 20 and the more luxurious Silverado trim. Under the hood is a 5.0L V8 paired with an automatic transmission, giving you enough grunt for daily hauling without the thirst of a big-block. Expect a firm ride when the bed is empty, but load it up and this truck settles right down.
