Miles Overview
The Colorado is Chevrolet's compact pickup for 2006, a smaller, more maneuverable alternative to full-size trucks like the Silverado. It rides smoothly and is easy to drive, with a turning radius that makes it feel at home in tight spots and parking lots. The cab offers decent space for passengers, though the rear seats in extended cab models are tight for adults. Some owners report electrical issues like faulty brake lights and window motors, so it's worth checking those systems before you buy. The LT is the mid-range Colorado, adding comfort and convenience features over the bare-bones Work Truck without jumping to a pricier Z71. This LT pairs a 3.5L I5 with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, giving it decent grunt for daily driving and a smooth highway cruise. Expect 19 mpg combined from this setup, which is reasonable for a mid-2000s compact pickup with a five-cylinder.
