Miles Overview
The DeVille is Cadillac's full-size flagship sedan for 1998, the one that competes with Lincoln's Town Car and the big Lexus LS. It's a big car that drives like a big car, with a wide turning radius and a hood that takes some getting used to, but it's smooth and quiet on the highway. Inside, the seats are broad and supportive, the back seat is extremely wide, and the trunk is huge, so it's a great road-trip car. Owners have reported issues with the electronic dashboard, radiator, and hoses, so it's worth checking those on any example you look at. The D Elegance is the plusher version of the DeVille, with extra leather and trim touches for buyers who want more luxury than the base model. It's powered by the same Northstar 4.6L V8 with an automatic transmission, and fuel economy is 15 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. You get a few extra cosmetic upgrades inside and out, but the driving experience is still the same big, soft, highway-focused Cadillac ride.
